Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 20 August 2026This page explains how to delete your Resleeve account and the personal data connected to it, including any data we received because you signed in with, or connected, a Facebook or Instagram account. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
1. Delete your account yourself
The fastest route is in the product. You can do this at any time and you do not need to contact us.
- Sign in at resleeve.ai.
- Open Settings and go to the General tab.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and choose Delete account.
- Review the summary of what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.
You are signed out immediately and can no longer sign in with that account. If you want to use Resleeve again later, you can create a new account with the same email address.
2. What deletion removes
- Your profile and sign-in. Your account is closed and your credentials are removed from our authentication provider. Access is blocked straight away; the removal at the provider is reconciled automatically and retried until it completes.
- Your email address, which is replaced with a non-identifying placeholder so it can no longer be linked back to you.
- Workspaces you own, together with the content in them. Other members of those workspaces lose access.
- Your membership of other workspaces. You are removed from workspaces owned by someone else. Content those workspaces own stays with their owner.
- Pending invitations you sent or received.
- Email contact. Product, lifecycle and marketing emails stop.
Data is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period. Residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups until those cycle out, and we may retain limited records where the law requires it, for example for tax or accounting purposes, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
3. If deletion is blocked
You cannot delete your account while you own a workspace with an active subscription. Cancel that subscription first, and if you have already cancelled, wait until the current billing period ends. The deletion screen tells you which workspace is blocking you. If you are stuck, email us using the details in section 5 and we will handle it for you.
4. Facebook and Instagram data
If you signed in with Facebook, or connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account to Resleeve, deleting your Resleeve account as described above also deletes the data we received through that connection, including any access tokens, profile details and identifiers.
You can revoke our access separately at any time from Facebook itself, under Settings & Privacy, Settings, Apps and Websites, where you can remove Resleeve. Revoking access there stops any further data from reaching us, but it does not by itself delete the data we already hold. To have that deleted as well, delete your account as described in section 1, or send us a request as described in section 5.
5. Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we handle it, email support@resleeve.ai from the email address linked to your account, with the subject Data deletion request. Tell us the email address of the account, and mention the Facebook or Instagram account involved if your request relates to one.
We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not delete someone else’s account. We respond without undue delay and in any event within one month of receiving your request, as required by the GDPR. If your request is complex we may extend that period, and we will tell you if we do.
6. Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have over your personal data. You can also request access, correction, restriction, portability, and object to certain processing. Our Privacy Policy describes those rights and how to exercise them, and explains how to complain to a supervisory authority.
7. Contact
